When is the Monaco Grand Prix?
Traditionally the last weekend in May, with the race on the Sunday afternoon. Formula 1 confirms the calendar each year, so check with us before booking flights.
Where does the race take place?
On the public streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine, around the harbour and up through the town. The circuit has been in use since 1929 and the layout has barely changed in decades.
Why is Monaco such a famous race?
It is the slowest and tightest circuit on the calendar, run between barriers with no run-off, where a small mistake ends the race. Overtaking is close to impossible, which puts an enormous premium on qualifying, and the setting has no equal in the sport.
Where is the best place to watch from?
It depends what you want from the weekend. Grandstands at the harbour and Tabac give you the cars and the boats together, terraces above the circuit give you more of the track, and a yacht berth gives you the view the race is famous for. We will talk you through the options.
Is there anything on besides the Grand Prix?
A great deal. The support races run all weekend, the harbour fills with boats, and the town does not stop from Thursday onwards. Several of our packages include a Friday evening on a superyacht.
